Q&A #2: Where is Aspenwald?

Q: Where is Apsenwald? Does it have a physical territory? A: In short, "nowhere" and "no". Aspenwald isn't anywhere. The County Palatine and Electorate of Aspenwald is not a country nor even technically a micronation. We make no claims of sovereignty over any physical territory. Aspenwald is, in fact, an electoral estate and fiefdom of the Empire of Great Hanover, a miniature monarchy which itself does not claim any specific physical territory. We Aspenwalders are far more interested in explorations of Anglo-Germanic culture and tradition with all the respectable trappings of monarchy than we are in laying claim to any imaginary land or territory. That does not, however, mean that we are not extremely serious about who we are and what we do! Our government is as "real" as any, and we treat it as such, despite not being bound by any specific physical borders.
