Image
Dear Aspenwalders and friends from across the Empire and beyond: On this joyous occasion of our first Saint Alban's Day, our de facto national day, I extend warm greetings to you all. As we gather, each in our own way, to mark this special day in our calendar, let us first reflect upon the great developments that have taken place in our electorate these past six months and look forward to the future of our electorate. The Palatine Pages - Vol.3 Greetings from Palatine House , As declared by Letters Patent,  the City of Albansberg, a name inspired by the English Christian martyr St. Alban, will henceforth serve as the  capital of Aspenwald .  A proclamation signed on the tenth of June this year named Saint Alban as Aspenwald's patron saint . The same proclamation appointed the Feast of Saint Alban as a de facto national day of Aspenwald (and I do hope you will all join me in making our first ever St. Alban's Day a special one!) and assigned the Cross of Saint Alban as the symbol for the flag and arms of our capital of  Albansberg . In this missive, I hope to explain my reasoning behind choosing Saint Alban by sharing the story of his life and sainthood.
