The Palatine Pages Vol.1 - About Our Flag and the Rule of Tincture

The Palatine Pages - Vol. 1 Greetings from Aspenwald, In this inaugural issue of "The Palatine Pages," we explore a topic close to the heart of any nation - our flag. It's a symbol that represents our identity, values, and aspirations. A flag is, of course, the most immediate way to identify any nation, country, kingdom, estate, or polity. It must be bold, easily recognizable, and (in my opinion) deeply symbolic.

PROCLAMATION 0003 Establishing the Official and Ceremonial Languages of the Electorate of Aspenwald MICHAEL, by the grace of God, Count Palatine and Prince-elector of Aspenwald, &c, to all to whom these presents shall come, GREETINGS: WHEREAS the County Palatine and Electorate of Aspenwald recognizes the importance of language as a cornerstone of our identity, a medium for communication, and a vessel of our cultural heritage; AND WHEREAS it is deemed necessary and proper to declare an official language for the purposes of administration, legislation, and official communication in the County Palatine and Electorate of Aspenwald; AND WHEREAS it is deemed appropriate to acknowledge the significant historical and cultural influences that other languages have had on our nation by designating them as ceremonial languages; LET IT BE KNOWN, therefore, that I do by this my proclamation designate the English language as the official language of the County Palatine and Electorate of Aspenwald

The Count Palatine's Red Mass Message 2023

This message was given by His Most Serene Highness Michael, Count Palatine and Prince Elector of Aspenwald at The Lion & Stallion on the occasion of the first Red Mass of the Empire of Great Hanover, held on the eve of the opening of the first session of the Diet of the Empire of Great Hanover.

Proclamation 0002: Prescribing an anthem for the Electorate of Aspenwald

PROCLAMATION 0002 Prescribing an anthem and hymn for the Electorate of Aspenwald MICHAEL, by the grace of God, Count Palatine and Prince-elector of Aspenwald, &c, to all to whom these presents shall come, GREETINGS: WHEREAS the County Palatine and Electorate of Aspenwald currently lacks a state anthem or hymn with which to represent itself; AND WHEREAS it is deemed necessary and proper to prescribe an appropriate anthem as a symbol to represent the County Palatine and Electorate of Aspenwald; LET IT BE KNOWN, therefore, that I do by this my proclamation appoint and declare that the official Electoral Anthem (also recognized and authorized as the Electoral Hymn) shall be the hymn "I Vow to Thee my Country", which shall consist of the first two verses of the text-poem of Sir Cecil Rice set to the tune of Gustav Holst's "Jupiter, the Bringer of Jollity". The lyrics, therefore, shall henceforth be prescribed as thus: [verse 1] I vow to thee, my country, all eart
